We are very picky about our home products here at Strawberry Hedgehog. With extreme sensitivity to synthetic fragrance, natural is the only way to go. Shoyeido has been making traditional incense for hundreds of years through generations of perfecting the craft in Japan. Unlike many incense, their blending techniques do not require a bamboo core. With Shoyeido, the scent you enjoy is that of pure incense rather than the smoke of a superfluous wooden base. Shoyeido blends only the finest natural ingredients and binds them with Tabu-koh (Japanese Bay Tree aka machilus thunbergii) and water. This mixture is then extruded, much like spaghetti, and allowed to dry as a solid stick of pure incense.
